Grand Hotel Bregenz - MGallery

We had a lovely stay. Special thanks to Daisy for taking good care of us. The hotel is fantastic, the location is fantastic and the facilities were great. The pool, sauna and steam room were great. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Sonya in the bar for making fantastic drinks. Overall the stay was wonderful and we shall stay again.

We stayed here in late October for one night, putting our stay far outside the tourist-heavy time of the year! The room was very nice, facing away from the train-station and therefore very quiet. So quiet, in fact, that what actually woke us up in the morning were the birds in the surrounding park area! Everything was clean, modern, and comfortable (especially the bed!), although I would have preferred a chair that didn't recline that much, allowing me to actually put my laptop on the table and work this way. A really minor issue 🙃 We sadly didn't have the chance to try the restaurant because it was closed that day but the breakfast the next morning was good, with options ranging from scrambled eggs to salmon rolls. If you want your eggs differently, you can order them. The staff was very friendly and attentive! In general, we really enjoyed our stay and I'm pretty sure I will return there on future trips to this region!

Not that "Grand" if you ask me. Very friendly reception though with a nice welcome drink. The room was small, hot and not that clean. When we first moved in there were still stains on the faucets and sinks, and housekeeping didn't do much during our stay besides replacing towels and removing trash. In the bathroom there was absolutely no room to place any of our toiletries. There is A/C but it's just not powerful enough to keep the room cool, even in the highest setting. The food was ok and expensive. Wait staff could use some training and brushing up on their language skills. Breakfast was just ok too, reasonable selection but sometimes they had trouble replenishing buffet items since it seemed that there weren't that many staff working in the morning. All in all too expensive for what you get. They're trying to appear luxurious but they're missing that mark on several occasions.
